Palmer’s Pretty Pink Dahlias

This is dahlia season, so bear with me if dahlias bore you!  In fact, skip right on to your next blog because there is still a little dahlia left in this season and I am there to the first frost!  Last week-end I had the pleasure of  meeting Frances Palmer again and seeing her talk and slide show at the GEC during the Greenwich DAZZLING DAHLIA SHOW, AND visiting her actual garden in CT.  The Garden Conservancy Open Days program  had Frances on the schedule

PRETTY PINK DAHLIAS!

I shy away from pink when I am ordering new dahlia tubers. Such pretty pinks, they make a nice change to the autumnal colours. We have a few but they are single ones so that the bees can enjoy them as well as us!

Good evening Jane! I love this time of year for what seems to be the in between stages; flowers are still part of our landscape, as if they linger and don’t want to say goodbye. These are amongst my favorites, and tonight, we are finally experiencing a little chill after a long summer.

THANK YOU so much for coming to visit me and post a comment. May you have a simply beautiful weekend, enjoying the season! Anita

  4. Those dahlias truly are dazzling. They’re such wonderful, happy flowers, aren’t they? Thanks for the gorgeous reminder that it’s been far too many years since I’ve had any dahlias in my garden! 🙂
