Memories on Memorial Day

The flag was up for the Memorial Day week-end.

Remembering  and honoring.  Dear husband served as an Officer in the Navy!  Honor.   My Dad was a veteran and I salute him! Remember.   As the home he built with my Mother is about to be sold,  I chose the one thing that was most important to me from the house.  A portrait of a dog.  My Own High Time, the sire of the famous “My Own Brucie.”

Isn’t there always something, that one special thing, that keeps a memory alive?  Objects with a life of their own that have some impact on yours…

What a lovely post. Yes, I agree with you memories are what make things precious. Your picture of the dog is glorious, such a beautiful creature. Have a great day.
